Sports: The Habit to fight depression

Depression, has become more prevalent in today’s world, with the hectic lifestyle, work pressures, peer pressures, fear of missing out and the face book/whatsapp/instagram/twitter centered life.
Professional counsellors and Psychotherapists recommend that engaging in any sport, be it running, walking, jogging, badminton, what ever physical activity of choice, can elevate the mood and help get the boost needed to work on the issues that has precipitated or is maintaining the depressed state. Severe Clinical depression would need to be treated with medication and sport can be an adjunct intervention.
